The Compilation Of Arjen Robben Scoring The Exact Same Goal Over And Over Again

It was announced earlier this week that former Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben has retirement from professional football, aged 35.

Plenty have reminisced about his highly successful career this week, but perhaps the biggest talking point was his classic ‘cut inside’ skill move.

Top-level footballers all have their go-to trick that they use on a regular basis.

Diego Maradona and Johan Cruyff both brought in their own original skills and you see those tricks everywhere these days – from Sunday League to Champions League football.

As we all know, Bayern Munich and Netherlands winger Arjen Robben has his own trademark move and though it’s a fairly simple one, he pulled it off so well, and so frequently.

Robben checks inside and curls home with his tried and trusted left foot.

Eat, sleep, cut inside, repeat.

Robben has scored so many goals that are pretty much carbon copies – it’s almost like he’s using some sort of weird futuristic copy and paste tool and reliving his career.

While it’s strange that defenders still don’t try and show Robben onto his considerably weaker right-foot, he is a complete and utter genius when he shapes to shoot from the right side of the pitch.

One Bayern Munich fan enjoyed Robben’s archetypal cut-ins from the right so much that he decided to put together a compilation of him scoring virtually the same goal time and time again.

With clips of Robben perfecting his trademark trick in games for Bayern Munich and Netherlands, it makes for a great watch and highlights just how gifted the former Real Madrid and Chelsea man was.

He began his career at Groningen before sealing a switch across the Netherlands. He made his name at PSV Eindhoven where Chelsea signed him from in 2004.

The winger won two Premier League titles, two League Cups and the FA Cup during his spell in England.

What a player he was in his prime.
