We haven’t seen a Manchester United team play like this for years.
Under the management of Sir Alex Ferguson, arguably the greatest of all time, Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt and Jaap Stam, among other legendary figures, took part in the treble reunion game at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon, showcasing an impressive display of passing, defending and overall fitness.
They were a joy to watch throughout, but one player in particular stole the show.
David Beckham was pinging balls left, right and centre, proving he hasn’t lost his magic touch when it comes to passing. Oh and let’s not forget his telepathy with Gary Neville on the right wing; that hasn’t disappeared
I mean, just look at the range of passing here AND that goal.
He’s already completed more passes than Ashley Young did in the entire of last season.
Fans were quick to comment on his impressive display, suggesting that United should sign him up in the summer.
The thing is, this isn’t a joke – he could probably still do a job on the right wing.
Ole, you know what to do.
