Virgil van Dijk Celebrates Before Mohamed Salah Even Scores As Liverpool Go Through

It was a relatively easy night in Europe for Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side, who progress to the Champions League semi-final after victory over FC Porto at the Estádio do Dragão.

Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino, the front three of dreams, bagged the goals as Sergio Conceicao’s side failed to make any sort of impression on the game.

The second goal from Salah was summed up when Virgil van Dijk celebrated, a solid three seconds before the Egyptian actually slotted past experienced shot-stopper Iker Casillas.

There’s confidence in your teammate and then there’s this. Brilliant.

Liverpool will now come up against Barcelona in the semi-final of the competition after they battered Manchester United in the quarters on Tuesday night at the Camp Nou.

Back in March, Steven Gerrard claimed that Liverpool have the ability to raise more European silverware, while Ferdinand also believes the club have the potential.

And while weighing in on Liverpool’s chances, Gerrard hilariously interrupted him saying: “He’s crying it in!”

After laughing off Gerrard’s comment, Ferdinand claimed teams wouldn’t want to draw Liverpool in the next round.

“No but seriously, you wouldn’t want to be drawn against Liverpool. I don’t care who you are in this tournament now,” he said on BT Sport.

“That front three, when they’re on fire, the way they play, the intensity, going to Anfield, the pace they’ve got in that team – they’re going to be a hard proportion for any team in this tournament.”

Can Liverpool win the Champions League?
