A metatarsal injury has kept him on the sidelines of late but his tally of 13 goals and six assists in 13 Ligue One games sees him boast a rating of 8.53 and top the list ahead of Lionel Messi, his PSG colleague Kylian Mbappe and Cristiano Ronaldo, who are all having fine campaigns.

In fifth place is where the big shock comes, as Nimes midfielder Teji Savanier gets a look-in thanks to his two goals and eight assists in 19 appearances the French top tier.

Eden Hazard is the highest-ranked Premier League representative after scoring 12 goals and setting up ten, with his younger brother, Thorgan, giving him a run for his money. The Gladbach man is in ninth with an average rating of 7.69.

Raheem Sterling is also breathing down the Belgian’s neck following on from his virtuoso two-goal performance against Hazard’s Chelsea in yesterday’s 6-0 drubbing at the Etihad. It’s 12 goals and nine assists for City’s No.7 in the league this term.

Edinson Cavani is the final member of PSG’s deadly front three to make the cut after bagging 17 goals, with Mo Salah, last season’s Premier League top scorer having to settle for 10th place despite also notching 17 and proving he’s anything but a one-season wonder.
