The ‘Greatest Lionel Messi Compilation Ever’ Proves He Is The Most Complete Player In History

I can often run out of superlatives to describe the almost extraterrestrial Lionel Messi – but what I can tell you is that every single fibre of his 5′7 frame is built to play football.

Messi is one of a few players that will be remembered by generations.

His natural talent is something that is talked about day after day, hour after hour and for that we thank this little magician for the joy he brings to football fans everywhere.

If you’ve ever watched the Argentinian in real life, then you struggle to explain what makes him so good.

He brings you to the edge of your seat, time after time. His unpredictability is something we haven’t seen in years. Left or right? Side to side?

To put his genius into perspective, the above compilation of the great man, with quotes from Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard and Craig Bellamy, among others, is the best we’ve ever seen. Period.

“He’d follow you into a revolving door and still come out first.”

“Not only is he the best goalscorer but he is the best passer, he’s the best dribbler and the best passer.”

“Lionel Messi is the most complete player in history.”

Messi has scored some incredible goals down the years, especially in the past year or so.

But he admits that a certain one against Manchester United ranks highest.

“I always say that I consider the importance of the goal, more than for its beauty and so mine would be the first I scored in a Champions League final, with a header (against Manchester United in 2009), for the importance it had.”

Is Lionel Messi the greatest of all time?
