Angel Gomes could be set to leave Manchester United after the youngster was told by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer he wasn’t big enough to play in the Premier League.
There’s likely to be a lot of change at Manchester United this summer. There’s no way that things at Old Trafford can continue in the vain they have been in the last few years, and especially the last 12 months.
As well as needing quality signings all over the pitch it’s about who Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will sell between now and the beginning of next season, in 88 days time.
United’s season was rather summed up by the last two games in the Premier League as they drew with Huddersfield and lost to Cardiff City, both teams who had already been relegated.
Sunday’s game with Cardiff brought the curtain down on the horror show and the only thing for fans to hang onto was the fact that the front six were all home grown, with Mason Greenwood making his first league start.
Even the one replacement in the attacking ranks saw Angel Gomes come on as another homegrown player but the teenager might not stick around.
According to Portuguese newspaper A Bola, Solskjaer has told Gomes that he’s not physical enough for the Premier League, which has annoyed the 18 year old.

The London born forward reportedly pointed out that Lionel Messi isn’t exactly the biggest physically and coupled with a lack of game time he’s considering leaving United.
That could spark the interest of PSG and several Spanish clubs who would be interested in signing the teenager, although he does have another year left on his deal.
Gomes made his first team debut in May 2017, on the last day of the season, when he came on as a substitute for Wayne Rooney, and became the first player for United born in the 2000s.

Last season he made just one appearance, in an FA Cup game, and the latest season has seen him play just twice.
It’s not really like United can afford to lose anyone talented right now, especially if they’re willing to work hard for the team, but it seems like Solskjaer has made his mind up on Gomes.
This isn’t the change that is really needed but it could be the first one to happen.
