Liverpool Knock Bayern Munich Out Of Champions League To Reach Quarter-Finals

Liverpool have knocked Bayern Munich out of the Champions League after securing a 3-1 win in their second-leg clash at the Allianz Arena.

Jürgen Klopp’s men took the lead through Sadio Mané, who calmly composed himself against Manuel Neuer and neatly slotted the ball into the back of the net.

However, Joël Matip’s own goal handed Niko Kovač’s men a lifeline in the match.

But enter Virgil van Dijk, whose header restored the Reds’ lead and Mané completed his brace to secure a memorable win in Germany.

Liverpool have secured their spot in the last eight of Europe’s elite competition alongside Ajax, Manchester United, Porto, Tottenham Hotspur, Juventus, Manchester City and Barcelona.

Ernesto Valverde’s men defeated Lyon at the Camp Nou 5-1 on Wednesday night.
