The last time Conor McGregor was officially in a fight in an octagon was a year yesterday when he fought Eddie Alvarez but on Friday night he was in an unofficial ‘fight’ with a referee and the Notorious has now tweeted, before deleting the tweet.
Just over a year ago McGregor made history by becoming the first dual weight UFC champion, holding two belts at two weights at the same time, when he stopped Alvarez in a brilliant display.

Since then the Irishman was on hiatus as he had his first child and then fought Floyd Mayweather in one of boxing’s biggest events of the year. Now people are awaiting his return to MMA but they weren’t expecting it on Friday.
He was at Bellator 187 to see his teammate and friend Charlie Ward compete in Dublin. When Ward was victorious the UFC champ rushed into the ring to congratulate him when he was met by the ref who McGregor shoved.
The 29 year old was criticised for his behaviour in Ireland, and was also seen to slap a member of Bellator staff as he climbed the cage. On Monday morning he took to social media and tweeted about the incident but soon deleted his post:
